I have just noticed a whole in my argument for proportional representation. Looking on the BBC website and their breakdown of voting statistics it would seem there would be unwelcome attendees at Westminster. If the proportion of people voting were translated into a respective number of seats in Parliament. Then the BNP would be entitled to about 12 seats. That is scary.I can't believe half a million people actually voted BNP. IF ever there was an argument for first past the post it was that it excludes way out and dangerous minority issues from the heart of decision making.
