On my blog last night I forgot to finish with my uplifting moment.

I was shopping in our corner shop after having picked up my son from his sojourns in Durham. I was purchasing the junk food that makes up a Saturday night in our house. As I queued with my unhealthy comestibles I became aware of the father/daughter group in front of me. The little girl was holding a large bar of chocolate and on seeing me eying the bar gave me one of those toothy grins that only children can give of total and utter joy.

It gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside as i reminisced at the times my own children had been able to smile in that way.

I left the shop with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. Well almost
