It has taken me all week to get over Sunday night!

Finally getting myself ready for the weekend and they predict rain all over Saturday.

Left the house with the kids this morning and it was a bright,beautiful morning but you could see the clouds gathering over the horizon. It was one of those days when I sing to my kids. They can't stand it but can't leave a moving motor vehicle!

I sing the first lines of "Oh what a beautiful day" from the musical Oklahoma I believe. It was one of those songs that my Dad liked to torment us kids with when we were young so I see no reason why I shouldn't maintain that tradition. I don't think it will be a tradition for the next generation mind you.

A change of subject now. I have just bought "you'll always find me at the kitchen at parties" on iTunes. It was a minor hit back in the early eighties and is now used as the basis of an IKEA advert. I just happened to look up the author, one Jonah Lewie. I was very disappointed to learn that (if you can believe anything on Wikipedia) he hails from Southampton. How disappointing he is a, well I can't repeat the vernacular that people from Pompey have for Southampton. I will just say that it is the name for all the suds that collect on used bathwater for instance.

Rain still not arrived at my house yet. Hope for a clear weekend?? too much to ask i suppose. It has been nice up here all week so it will be raining all over the weekend won't it?
