Depression

Not much on the blog front this month so far. Mostly I have had a cold, been working some longish hours and just been plain tired. I dislike January so much. I think i may suffer from Seasonally Affective Disorder (SAD) or, just as likely, I am in fact a miserable git.

I think that could be the case as I feel sad for the passing Summer sometime in July when I notice the nights starting to shorten. That is just a phase and I usually enjoy the golden colours of August as the corn ripens in the fields. But at the end of October Winter truly starts. Up here in the North it is quite a shock when, in early November, the clocks go back and the Sun starts to set in the beginning of the afternoon.

I can usually get by this period with Christmas on the horizon but after that.... 

January is a long, dark month.
