They Don't Like It Up 'Em!
The above was a catchphrase of a beloved character from a famous 1970's British sitcom called Dad's Army. It was all about the trial and tribulations of a rather incompetent but well intentioned unit of the Home Guard. These were units of men too old or too young for active service but were formed up into civil defense units at the start of WWII. As far as I can ascertain they were largely a window dressing and allowedthe population at large to feel like they were contributing to the war effort.
This sketch was recently voted the funniest British TV moment. I have to agree, when it was first broadcast back in the seventies we were all talking about it the next day at school!

My son soccer team had just such a moment recently.
The team wer fielding a non registered player. Naughty naughty. So he had to pretend to be a different one, who was registered. Now you'd think that this lad would then try not to be noticed too much by the ref but he got a booking and had to give his false name. As he trotted away from his telling off there was a call from one of his team mates half way across the pitch
"Which name did you give him Stuart?" best laid plans etc etc.
