Aussie Surrender!

It warms the cockles or a middle aged man's heart to see the Australian Cricket team being so resoundingly humiliated! At the present it would seem this is the worst Australian touring side since 1985. The defeated teams of 2005 and 2009 could at least bat.

I will enjoy the Australian discomfort and rejoice at their incompetance. Since 1989 we have suffered their cricketing dominance. And they were good. I always felt that they relied on McGrath and Warne too much with the ball but they also had a strong batting line up that was able to crucify opposition bowling.

Not only does this team seem unable to score runs they have consistently mismanaged their umpire reviews. The opening batsmen appear to have a technique flaw that brings them into LBW risk but they still insist on reviewing. They have consistently paid the price with being unable to question a wrong decision. I love it!

The question now is how much do the Aussies want to get back in the series.?

After  the 1st Test I was of the opinion that with a little luck the Aussies could have won and that on top of that on a different day , in a different match, England would find themselves on the receiving end. After this Test  I am not so sure. Time will tell.
