I have to get a few things off my chest before I go to bed and call time on the week.
In descending order I shall go through it in my timeline.
Overslept this morning. Looked at my alarm clock when first woke up. I seem to have difficulty reading this clock whilst viewed with sleep filled eyes. I initially thought it said it was 20 to 10. As I started to panic I came to the understanding that it was in fact 10 to 8 a.m. I fell into sleep until my alarm went off at 8. However I am quite capable of turning off alarms whilst only just awake and fell back to sleep until nearly 20 to nine.
PANIC STATIONS!!
Managed to race to work and get in before my first patient. The work day followed the usual pattern for a Friday. Hectic. I was more than a little stressed all day, well stressed is not the best word. Concerned? consternated? take your pick. You see I discovered my daughter was on a date with a boy. To the cinema. This took me by surprise. She is 12 and I distinctly remember telling her she couldn't see boys until she was at least 23!
I am afraid to say she fell for the oldest trick in the book. The one where the dater is asked out and a whole host of peole are supposed to becoming as well until you find that they are all otherwise "engaged".
I was just caught out (as parents usually are ) by the timing. I figured I had a few more years of being her number 1.
She didn't enjoy the film so much but I think they had a nice time. With no funny business!
After work I celebrated pay day with a McD's take away and then my daughter and I went for a short stroll up to the trig. point.
It was a beautiful evening with not a cloud in the sky. The great thing about this time of year is that the fields of wheat and barley are all of a golden colour and whe nthe evening sun hits them it makes the land generate a warm golden glow. We came across next doors cat who wanted to play just as we started our walk so we missed the sunset. Still from the trig. point you have a wonderful views across almost all of County Durham. Not really, obviously, but it feels like it.
I used my RunKeeper app. The journey was a bit slower than Monday but the route lost 0.06 of mile than the same journey I took on Monday. That's GPS for you.
That's all for now. I am off to bed and I am going to enjoy a nice lie in tomorrow!
